Role Overview

The Senior Manager / AVP – Investment Portfolio Analytics will play a key role in delivering best-in-class analytics across portfolio performance, corporate KPIs, macro insights, and data governance. Operating at the intersection of investment performance, strategy, and analytics, the role supports the COO and senior leadership in enhancing decision-making, reporting integrity, and organisational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio & Corporate Performance
    • Lead the full corporate performance cycle, including KPI design, target-setting, tracking, and reporting.
    • Analyse portfolio performance outcomes and produce clear, insightful reporting for senior management and Board committees.
    • Develop and review annual performance targets through research, scenario modelling, trend analysis, and benchmarking.
    • Cascade firmwide KPIs across business units and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
    • Maintain performance frameworks and methodologies consistent with global best practice.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for external parties conducting KPI validation.
    • Support teams with analytics related to benchmarking, valuation input, investment strategy, market analysis, and Board material preparation.
  • Macro, Market & Factor Analysis
    • Monitor global macroeconomic and market developments, synthesising insights to guide investment strategy.
    • Produce structured analytics to highlight market trends, risk factors, and key performance drivers.
    • Integrate macro and strategy perspectives into the broader investment process.
  • Data, Systems & Analytics
    • Act as the subject-matter expert on SimCorp and performance-related data governance.
    • Lead data architecture, quality, control, and reporting enhancement initiatives.
    • Partner with internal teams to streamline workflows and increase automation across analytics processes.
  • Strategic Projects
    • Support the COO on organisational and strategic initiatives including corporate strategy development, research projects, townhall materials, and high-impact ad hoc analyses.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields; CFA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in investment performance, portfolio analytics, or data-driven roles within asset management, sovereign funds, or financial institutions.
  • Technical & Professional Skills
    • Deep understanding of financial markets, macroeconomic drivers, and investment performance measurement.
    • Experience in corporate performance frameworks, KPI development, and target-setting.
    • Exposure to analytics platforms and data governance (SimCorp experience advantageous).
    • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
