Role Overview
The Associate will play a key role in the full investment lifecycle, from deal origination and due diligence to execution and portfolio management. Key Responsibilities
- Deal Origination & Evaluation: Assist in identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities through market research, financial analysis, and industry assessments.
- Financial Modelling & Valuation: Develop and maintain complex financial models, conduct valuation analysis (DCF, LBO, comparables), and assess the financial impact of potential transactions.
- Due Diligence: Support the due diligence process by analysing company financials, industry trends, competitive landscapes, and operational risks.
- Investment Execution: Prepare investment committee presentations, coordinate with advisors, and support transaction structuring and negotiation.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor the performance of portfolio companies, track key financial metrics, and assist in the development and implementation of value creation strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior management, external advisors, and portfolio company executives to drive business growth and operational improvements.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in investment banking (M&A, leveraged finance), strategy consulting, or a top-tier private equity or principal investing firm.
- Education: Strong academic background from a leading university, preferably with a degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Exceptional financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of private equity investment strategies, financial structuring, and market dynamics.
- Communication & Presentation: Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
