This role offers unparalleled exposure to deal origination, execution, and client interaction across private equity investments, corporate finance, and fund placement transactions.
The firm is privately owned and operates across multiple business lines, including capital investments, fund administration, financial advisory, and markets. It focuses on private equity opportunities with a target size of up to £30 million and advises on corporate finance transactions ranging from £50 million to £1 billion. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying and originating investment opportunities, corporate finance, and fund placement mandates.
- Conduct market research and evaluate sectors and companies.
- Engage with investee companies, portfolio companies, and corporate or fund clients.
- Support marketing initiatives tailored to specific sectors.
- Contribute to portfolio company projects, such as bolt-on acquisitions or new market entry strategies.
- Build comprehensive financial models, including operational and cash flow forecasts.
- Perform valuation analyses using methodologies such as comparable transactions, discounted cash flow, and leveraged buyout models.
- Identify potential investors and buyers.
- Support execution of principal investments and advisory mandates, including day-to-day project management.
- Prepare internal transaction review documentation and marketing materials.
- Participate in special projects related to private equity funds managed by the firm.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Approximately two years of prior experience as an Analyst or equivalent role in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction services, consulting, accounting, or private equity.
- Strong academic credentials (minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent) from a top-tier university or business school, with a solid foundation in mathematics.
- Analytical mindset with strong quantitative and qualitative skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Stata, R, BI) or due diligence is advantageous but not essential.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and networking skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team setting.
