About the Opportunity
An alternative investment platform is seeking to hire a Senior Analyst to join its growing Private Credit Real Estate team in London. The firm focuses on complex, asset-backed and special situations investments across European credit and real estate markets, with a strong emphasis on downside protection, structuring expertise, and opportunistic investing. The platform manages multi-billion-euro assets across private credit, structured finance, and real estate strategies.
The role offers exposure to high-profile and complex transactions across Europe, including private lending, distressed and special situations investing, debt portfolio acquisitions, and structured real estate opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the origination, underwriting, execution, and portfolio management of European real estate credit investments
- Perform detailed financial analysis, cash flow modelling, and downside scenario analysis across various asset classes including office, hospitality, logistics, residential, and mixed-use
- Analyse capital structures, collateral packages, and legal/security frameworks
- Conduct market research and evaluate macroeconomic and sector-specific trends affecting investment opportunities
- Prepare investment committee memoranda, underwriting materials, and internal presentations
- Participate in due diligence processes including interaction with borrowers, sponsors, advisors, lawyers, and third-party consultants
- Monitor existing portfolio investments, covenant compliance, refinancing activity, and valuation performance
- Assist in structuring bespoke financing solutions across senior, mezzanine, preferred equity, and special situations transactions
- Work closely with senior investment professionals on sourcing and execution of bilateral and off-market opportunities
Candidate Profile
- 2–4 years of relevant experience within: Real Estate, Private Credit, Investment Banking (Real Estate, Leveraged Finance, Structured Finance), Private Equity / Special Situations, Real Estate Debt Funds, Structured Credit or Opportunistic Credit Investing
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills with advanced Excel capabilities
- Experience analysing real estate-backed transactions and complex capital structures
- Understanding of European real estate markets and credit dynamics
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and commercial judgement
- Ability to operate in a lean, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced investment environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related discipline
