Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on and commercially minded Associate to join our growing Energy Transition team. The successful candidate will play a key role in live transactions and client engagements from day one, working directly with senior bankers and clients. The role offers a steep learning curve, high deal exposure, and the opportunity to help shape the growth of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial modelling, valuation (DCF, LBO, precedent transactions, trading comps), and sensitivity analysis
- Prepare marketing materials, pitch books, investor presentations, teasers, and IMs
- Support deal execution including due diligence coordination, data room management, and timeline tracking
- Conduct market research and develop sector insights in emerging areas of the energy transition
- Engage directly with founders, management teams, and institutional investors
- Mentor Analysts and interns, contributing to team development and firm culture
- Contribute to origination efforts through market mapping and strategic idea generation
Candidate Profile
- 3–6 years of experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, corporate finance, or a clean-tech related role
- Strong knowledge of the energy transition space and passion for sustainability-driven investing
- Excellent technical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams in a lean team environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex topics into clear client materials
- Proactive, entrepreneurial spirit with high standards and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics or a related field
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are an asset
