Berrys is focused on land and property, offering services in planning, architecture, building surveying, valuation, and business consultancy to help clients maximise their assets. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team based in the Shrewsbury office, which includes planners, heritage consultants, archaeologists, engineers, and architects. The company provides a varied range of work and opportunities while maintaining a small enough environment for flexibility and personal connections.

Our work includes applications and appeals, site promotions, self-build houses, farm buildings, urban extensions, and solar farms. You will manage your own caseload of projects and develop specialist skills in areas of interest.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research, report writing, plan preparation, and management of small applications.
  • Assist senior colleagues with larger developments.
  • Engage with clients, requiring a calm and confident manner.
  • Conduct outdoor site visits and provide on-site advice.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in town planning or a related subject.
  • Working towards membership of the RTPI.
  • Confident and willing to learn from others.
  • Proactive and diligent with excellent written English and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in a relevant planning discipline is preferable but not essential.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexible Monday-Friday.
