Main duties will include the following;\\n * To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors at all times\\n * To deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress\\n * To plan activities which ensure each child is working towards the Early Learning outcomes\\n * To develop partnerships with parents/carers, informing them about the nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children’s progress and encouraging parents to increase involvement in their child’s development\\n * To be a key person, ensuring records are maintained sufficiently to inform of progress against the Early Learning goals, including observations, assessments, daily attendance register, accident and incident book, risk assessments\\n * To understand and work to nursery policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies\\n * To ensure that the nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and others\\n * Helping to ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times\\n * Undertaking designated officer roles as directed\\n * Working together with other professionals in the local area for the benefit of children and families\\n * Working in partnership with senior management to update and review the self-evaluation and improvement plan\\n * Undertaking any other reasonable duties as directed by the nursery lead, in accordance with the nursery aims and objectives\\nEssential Skills and Experience:\\n * Knowledge and proven experience of working with children age 0-5 years\\n * Empathy and understanding of children under five years of age\\n * Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS and current Ofsted statutory guidance\\n * Knowledge and proven practical experience of implementing good quality learning opportunities\\n * A commitment to quality in all areas, with a high level of motivation and enthusiasm\\n * Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal\\n * The ability to be innovative and creative\\n * The ability to write reports and keep clear and accurate records, with administrative and basic IT skills\\n * Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative\\n * Excellent organisational, motivational and negotiation skills\\n * Reliable, flexible and able\\n * A calm and caring nature\\n * A creative thinker with a good sense of humour\\n * Able to commit with the ability to perform under stress\\n * Able to make decisions and be accountable with the ability to work at all levels\\n * A level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification is required for this role\\n * Paediatric first aid
