Company Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper on behalf of our client, an established and growing business based in the Congleton area. If you are ambitious, focused and looking for the next step in your career where you can take ownership of the role, we look forward to hearing from you!
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- General bookkeeping - entry of receipts, invoices and payments
- Handling supplier statements
- Updating cash flow documents to correspond with Xero for the Financial Director
- Verifying supplier and contractor payments terms
- Liaising with the Contracts Director regarding sub-contractor payments and application for the cashflow document
- Weekly overview list for the Financial Director for payments due as per the cash flow document
- Checking accuracy of direct debit amounts for monthly overhead figures
- Weekly time sheet checks for Project Team and input to spreadsheet for payroll
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a similar position - someone who will take ownership of the position with a view to progressing into a managerial role
- Proficiency in using Xero, including to support year-end accounts
- Competency in using Excel
- Excellent attention to detail - assuring accuracy in all financial records
- Excellent time-management skills
- A relevant Bookkeeping/AAT qualification
Schedule: Full time, Monday to Friday, office-based
