Company Overview:
We are looking for a Room Leader/Supervisor to join a friendly and supportive team at an Ofsted rated GOOD day nursery in the baby room. This lovely setting is located in the coastal town of Formby and provides high quality childcare and Early Years education. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an Early Years setting which provides children with an opportunity to benefit from all the advantages of being in a bilingual environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the baby room team to ensure your room runs smoothly, working in partnership with parents and ensuring an engaging environment and effective learning opportunities
- Ensure that all children attending the setting are kept safe and that all legislation in relation to Health and Safety and Safeguarding is complied with
- Be an effective key person
- Support the delivery of the curriculum, ensuring all children are receiving the best opportunities for learning and development
- Promote nursery values and challenge any behaviour that goes against them
- Build excellent relationships with families to work in partnership with parents/carers
- Support colleagues in your team and across the setting to ensure a strong team and a nice and supportive working environment for all
Essential Skills and Experience Required:
- A Level 3 Childcare/Early Years qualification is required as minimum
- Paediatric First Aid
- Excellent safeguarding knowledge
- DBS (Employer to cover cost)
- Two contactable references
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 35 hours over 4 days or 40 hours over 4.5 days
