Company Overview:
Our client is a long-established UK IT provider, with expertise in helping businesses to run smoothly by providing robust Managed IT Services and specialised business accounting software. They aren’t just "the IT guys" - they are strategic partners to their clients. Due to entering an exciting growth phase, they are looking for a tenacious, articulate Business Development Representative to spearhead their outbound efforts. You will be joining a small, agile team where your work will have a direct impact on the company’s growth. Success in this role will lead to a full Account Executive/Sales Manager position.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Your mission is simple: identify, engage, and qualify. You will be responsible for the 'top of the funnel.' You won’t be expected to close the technical sale; your success will be measured by the number of high-quality appointments you book for the Sales Lead.
- Prospecting: research and identify local businesses (SMEs) that fit the ideal client profile of 20 - 100 employees.
- Outbound Outreach: use a mix of cold calling, LinkedIn networking and personalised email sequences to reach decision-makers (MDs, FDs, and Operations Managers).
- Qualification: understand a prospect's current IT "pain points" - security fears, slow support or outdated system and position our client as the solution.
- Appointment Setting: secure 10 to 15 fully qualified discovery meetings per month for the Sales Lead.
- CRM Management: keep the CRM updated to ensure no lead falls through the cracks.
Essential Skills and Experience Required:
- Hunter Mentality: you enjoy the challenge of the 'cold start' and aren’t discouraged by a 'no.'
- Articulate & Professional: you can hold a peer-to-peer conversation with a Finance Director or Business Owner.
- Tech-Curious: you don’t need to be a Senior Engineer, but you should be able to explain the value of Managed Services and Cloud Technology.
- Organised: you can manage a high volume of activity without losing track of details.
- Experience: a minimum of 1 - 2 years in a B2B sales or lead generation role (IT/SaaS experience is a major plus).
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, hybrid working with three consecutive days to be office-based.
Location: Cullen, NE Scotland.
