Role: Junior Designer (Broadwick Spaces & Services)

Reports into: Head of Design

Location: Canary Wharf, London

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent (42.5 hours per week)

The Broadwick design and creative team believe in pushing boundaries through beauty and brand. The in-house design team cover creative ideation, brand management and creation, graphic design, motion design, video content, copywriting, and journalism.

What we’re looking for: We're looking for a Junior Designer to join our in-house studio at a genuinely exciting moment for the business. You'll work across a portfolio of world-class venues and brands, contributing to everything from campaign collateral to brand builds, alongside a team that cares deeply about craft and quality.

What you’ll be accountable and responsible for:

  • Design: Assisting the creative team on all aspects of our company's design output. Developing brand templates and presentations. Working with our in-house brand guidelines to produce accurate and on-brand promotional material. Supporting the ideas on creative campaigns across the portfolio. Working with the team to build new world leading brands in the entertainment and corporate sector. Working closely with the marketing team to deliver a high standard of work in a timely fashion. Researching for new creative projects.
  • Team: Communicating your training needs and actively participating in your own development in line with the line manager’s expectations. Creating a work environment that aligns with Broadwick values and principles.
  • Other: Carrying out ad hoc duties when required to.

You’ll need to have:

  • 1-3 years of industry experience.
  • A strong portfolio showing off brand work and strong ideas.
  • Experience delivering against deadlines and an ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • An ability to take constructive criticism and be prepared to listen to advice.
  • Experience managing multiple and competing work priorities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • A desire to go the extra mile to achieve what you set out to do.
  • Experience in presenting your work.
  • Self-motivation and experience working in a team.
  • A strong understanding of identity and branding.
  • Strong skills in Adobe CC with a passion for motion graphics.
  • A proven understanding of typography and layout.
  • Confidence working in print, digital and motion.
  • Good eye for photography.

Nice to haves:

  • Relevant design degree.
  • Understanding of AutoCAD and architectural design.
  • An interest in 3D Software.
  • Video editing experience.
  • An interest in web development.
