What we're looking for:
We are looking for a highly capable, cool-headed, and passionate Event Manager to join our fast-paced, multi-site events team. If you're a calm problem-solver with a deep love of food, drink, and hospitality, this role offers a chance to shine.
As Event Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination, and flawless delivery of bespoke events across our portfolio. You'll work closely with clients and internal teams, translating briefs into exceptional live experiences. You'll be a steady hand in high-pressure moments, a confident communicator, and a passionate ambassador for our food and beverage offering.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Event Planning & Coordination: Act as the lead contact for your events, guiding clients from contract through to post-event wrap-up. Create detailed event plans, timelines, floorplans, and supplier schedules that reflect our high standards. Host tastings and site visits, managing client expectations with clarity and creativity. Collaborate with chefs, kitchen, and beverage teams to tailor menus and service to each event.
- Client Relationship Management: Build trust and rapport with clients, offering expert guidance while delivering their vision. Handle last-minute changes or requests with professionalism and grace. Conduct post-event debriefs, gathering feedback and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- On-the-Day Event Management: Run events across multiple venues, ensuring seamless guest experience, from arrival to last plate cleared. Lead and inspire on-site teams, keeping everyone focused, informed, and motivated. Remain calm under pressure, using sound judgement and a proactive mindset to resolve challenges swiftly. Champion service standards and ensure every dish and drink is delivered with excellence.
- Catering & Operational Delivery: Coordinate with back-of-house teams to manage catering logistics, equipment, and dietary requirements. Ensure accurate stock control, equipment movement, and event readiness at all times. Maintain full compliance with health & safety and licensing regulations across all locations.
- Team Collaboration & Financials: Work closely with the Senior Event Manager and Director of Operations to support team workflow. Manage event budgets responsibly, ensuring profitability while delivering an exceptional experience. Complete administrative duties accurately, including invoices, reports, and system updates.
What you'll need to have:
- At least 2 years experience in event operations or catering-focused event management.
- Strong logistical and planning skills, with a solutions-first approach to challenges.
- A calm, composed presence in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams and build client confidence.
- Genuine passion for food and beverage, understanding the importance of flavour, service, and presentation.
- Strong knowledge of event health & safety and best practices.
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and flexible hours in line with event schedules.
- Based in or near London, with access to central venues.
