Actuarial Consultant – The Role:

Broadstone are looking to recruit an Actuarial Consultant with 2+ years' experience to join our team advising pension trustees. Applications are welcomed from people looking to return after a career break, and/or who have chosen not to continue with the actuarial exams.

Through the wide range of advisory services delivered to our pensions clients, we provide our staff with a variety of work experiences within a supportive atmosphere. We will offer you the opportunity to demonstrate your abilities and tangibly recognise your efforts, with the potential for progression within the company along different paths.

Actuarial Consultant – Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out technical calculations
  • Drafting reports
  • Client communication and project management
  • Reviewing data preparation carried out by junior colleagues

Actuarial Consultant – You:

  • Have passes in actuarial exams required for qualification as FIA or FFA, with an aptitude to continue progressing (or can otherwise demonstrate commitment to the profession)
  • Experienced in preparing several actuarial valuations and accounting disclosures
  • Knowledge of the main aspects of pensions regulation
  • Able to apply directions and convey results simply and clearly
  • Able to work both independently and in a team, taking initiative to progress tasks
