Head of Non-Life – The Role
Broadstone’s Non-Life consulting team provides actuarial and risk consulting services to general insurers and other insurance market participants in the UK and internationally. This exceptional opportunity is suitable for a senior general insurance actuary, who would like to lead and grow this part of Broadstone’s business.
Key Responsibilities
- Business leadership - drive the success of Broadstone’s Non-Life Consulting business, delivering growth, profitability and market-leading expertise.
- Technical and professional leadership - lead actuarial excellence across Non-Life Consulting, driving quality, governance and innovation.
- Business development and client relationship management - oversee business development and client growth, strengthening market presence, relationships and commercial performance.
- People leadership and management - inspire high performance through strong leadership and talent development.
Your Skills & Experience
- Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, preferably holding a currently IFoA Non-Life practicing certificate.
- Senior level general insurance actuarial experience, working with Board and/or Executive level individuals or Committees.
- Proven leadership of actuarial teams, including team engagement, performance management, recruitment, retention, coaching, training and career development.
- Experience of setting and delivering budgets, managing a P&L and maintaining commercial discipline.
