Job Description

Supplier Relations and Sourcing Lead– Central London/hybrid – Competitive salary, bonus & benefits

My client, a global healthcare company based in Central London, is looking to recruit a Supplier Relations and Sourcing Lead. The successful candidate will play a critical role within the Sourcing and Commercial Operations team, driving strategic supplier partnerships and sourcing initiatives that deliver measurable value, mitigate risk, and align with the business objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leverage data-driven insights to identify strategic opportunities and risks, guiding the development and execution of initiatives that maximise value and minimise exposure.
  • Design and implement comprehensive supplier strategies, driving proactive planning and alignment of goals with key partners.
  • Generate measurable financial impact through complex negotiations, applying market intelligence to balance value creation with effective risk management.
  • Build and manage high-impact supplier relationships, including leading Business Review Meetings to ensure performance excellence and strategic alignment.
  • Partner cross-functionally and with diverse stakeholders to enhance sourcing processes, elevating the business to best-in-class standards and ensuring efficient, timely delivery.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Previous experience in retail, sourcing, consulting, pharmaceuticals or FMCG.
  • Proven experience in supplier/category/contract management and financial analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in synthesising complex data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
