Group Accountant (BBBH601) Brentwood, England Salary: GBP50000 – GBP60000 per annum + bonus Group Accountant – GBP50,000 – GBP60,000 – Brentwood, Essex (Hybrid: 2 days/wk from home) This privately-owned real estate company based in Brentwood, Essex, is seeking to recruit a recently qualified accountant seeking a first move into industry. The Role: Reporting to the Group FC, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting to support decision-making across the business. Working closely with operational and central teams, you’ll play a vital role in strengthening financial control and ensuring regulatory compliance. Main responsibilities: Preparation of group consolidated financial statements and annual statutory accounts Leading the year-end audit process and liaising with external auditors Monthly management accounts preparation for central functions Supporting corporation tax submissions alongside external advisors Preparation of VAT returns and ONS/statutory reporting Partnering with central departments to support financial planning, reporting, and forecasting Driving process improvement and strengthening internal reporting Your background: ACA/ACCA qualified accountant Strong experience in preparing statutory accounts and managing external audits Comfortable working across multi-entity or group structures Advanced Excel skills and confidence in using reporting tools Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both finance and non-finance stakeholders An interest in working in a values-led, purpose-driven environment with commercial ambition Application process: Please include your first and last name.
