My client, a leading high street gaming leisure company, is looking to hire a Finance Manager for a six month fixed term contract based in Central London offering hybrid working. The Finance Manager will take responsibility for all aspects of financial management, developing processes and reconciliations to enable growth and improve efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for monthly/quarterly/annual closing the books and financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor and analyse financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and targets.
- Manage cash flow and working capital to optimise financial resources.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Drive the continuous improvement and development of end-to-end accounting practices.
- Continually identify risks to delivery, propose solutions where necessary and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout.
- Preparing and responsible for VAT and HMRC processes.
- Manage the annual audit process, ensuring that the information provided to the auditors is robust and all critical deadlines are achieved.
- Management of 3 team members.
Key skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
- Excellent Excel and modelling skills.
- Proven ability in running multiple activities and driving projects and tasks to completion.
- Naturally analytical with a critical mindset.
- Adept at communicating with people at all levels and confidence interacting with different stakeholders, including non-finance.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills (Xero experience desired but not essential).
