About The Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Officer to join our team on a part-time basis to cover maternity leave. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our HR operations and ensuring smooth, compliant, and efficient processes across the employee lifecycle. You’ll work closely with our Chief Operating Officer and liaise with our external HR partner to provide professional, confidential, and high-quality support.
Working Hours:
Choose between:
- 3 full days (24 hours): 8:30am to 5:30pm (1-hour lunch)
- 5 short days (25 hours): 9:00am to 2:30pm (30-minute lunch)
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer HR processes including onboarding, recruitment, compliance checks, and terminations
- Support with investigations, disciplinaries, and grievances
- Provide accurate HR reporting and data management
- Liaise with external HR partners and provide weekly updates to the COO
- Coordinate training and employee development initiatives
- Manage recruitment admin and candidate communications
- Maintain up-to-date records and handle HR queries professionally
- CIPD Level 3 qualified or working towards
- Solid HR or administrative experience
- Knowledge of UK employment legislation
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Experience with HR systems (BrightHR desirable)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Travel to the office every day
- Salary: £14.48 per hour (£29,000 FTE based on 38.5 hours)
- Hours: 24–25 hours per week (flexible options available)
- Contract Type: Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. (33 in Total) Pro rata for Part Time
- Additional day off for Birthday
