You will lead the design and evolution of scalable, secure, and high-performing systems, working across architecture, product, and delivery stakeholders. This is a high-impact opportunity to influence engineering maturity, delivery outcomes, and client success in a feder /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for the IPE application and its integrations /li li Lead design, development, and evolution of back-end services, front-end components, RESTful APIs, and enterprise integrations /li li Provide principal-level technical leadership across multiple workstreams ensuring robust, secure, and scalable solutions /li li Govern architectural decisions, data design, resilience, security, and technology risk management /li li Deliver platform capabilities, production fixes, and cross-system changes aligned with client deadlines /li li Establish and champion engineering standards across architecture, coding, testing, security, observability, and release readiness /li li Provide technical oversight of designs, code, tests, and deployment approaches /li li Act as senior authority for production incidents, driving root-cause analysis and improvements /li li Promote containerisation, Kubernetes, CI/CD, deployment automation, and modern DevOps practices /li li Mentor Technical Leads and engineers to strengthen technical capability and knowledge sharing /li li Collaborate with stakeholders to shape roadmaps, manage dependencies, and resolve technical risks /li li Support and enhance settlement-related workflows and securities trade lifecycle solutions /li li Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, platform reliability, and AI-assisted tooling /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li 12+ years of professional software development experience with Core Java, Spring, and Spring Boot /li li Experience as Principal Engineer, Solution Architect, Lead Architect, or senior technical leader /li li Strong Java and Spring expertise; design and delivery of large-scale microservices-based back-end systems /li li Strong SQL skills with experience with MS SQL Server and Sybase /li li JavaScript experience for front-end and full-stack delivery; Python is a plus /li li Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes expertise for containerised design, deployment, and operations /li li Full-stack capability across front-end, back-end, API, data, and integration layers /li li Extensive experience with RESTful APIs, distributed services, and enterprise integrations /li li Experience designing high-volume, real-time systems with emphasis on performance and reliability /li li Ability to define architectures with focus on scalability, security, maintainability, and observability /li li Experience establishing engineering standards, code reviews, and improving delivery practices /li li Strong automated testing, quality engineering, CI/CD, and deployment automation /li li Experience with Git, Eclipse, IntelliJ, Visual Studio, JIRA, and Confluence /li li Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills /li li Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field /li /ul ul li exceptional communication /li li stakeholder-management /li li technical leadership /li li Core Java /li li Spring /li li Spring Boot /li /ul
