We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic professional to join our International Business Process Outsourcing team as a Manager, based in our new Scotland office. In this role, you will lead a multi-level team, taking accountability for operational delivery, risk management, and process excellence across EMEA markets. You will drive the operational strategy, ensuring the team operates efficiently, meets regulatory and control requirements, and contributes to broader business objectives. This is a leadership role with significant influence on the growth, scalability, and performance of the Scotland office, offering the opportunity to shape both people and processes in a high-impact function.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a multi-level team of associates, senior associates, and supervisors, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance management.
- Oversee the end-to-end process for settlements, corporate actions and static data across EMEA markets, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and risk mitigation.
- Set operational strategy and priorities, aligning team objectives with broader business goals.
- Manage and mitigate operational and settlement risks, implementing robust controls and ensuring adherence to governance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, process redesign, and operational efficiency programs.
- Ensure compliance with market deadlines, regulatory requirements, and internal control frameworks.
- Serve as primary escalation point for complex or high-risk settlement issues.
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, influencing outcomes and strategic decisions.
- Oversee audit, regulatory, and governance deliverables, ensuring transparency and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in capital markets operations, with significant exposure to settlements, corporate actions, static data maintenance and trade support.
- Proven experience leading teams and delivering operational objectives in a high-volume, complex environment.
- Deep knowledge of the end-to-end trade settlement, corporate actions and static data lifecycle across multiple asset classes.
- Strong track record in risk and control management, including embedding frameworks and mitigating operational risk.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience influencing senior leadership and global teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- In-depth knowledge of EMEA settlement market practices and cycles.
- Experience with settlement platforms such as Euroclear, Clearstream, CREST, or similar.
- Experience leading process improvement, automation, or change initiatives.
- Prior experience overseeing audits, regulatory reviews, or control frameworks.
