As Site Lead for Glasgow, you will set the strategic direction and lead the delivery of site operations, translating enterprise objectives into consistent operational excellence. Combining strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, you will build high-performing teams, strengthen operational performance, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Lead and direct all site-based operational activities, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and performance standards.
- Drive operational excellence by improving productivity, quality, cost, and service through disciplined execution and continuous improvement.
- Manage site performance metrics, ensuring delivery against productivity, quality, cost, and service objectives.
- Oversee site P&L, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring prudent financial management and cost optimization.
- Build, lead, and develop a strong management team, promoting a high-performance, inclusive, and values-led culture.
- Partner with Human Resources to implement workforce planning, capability building, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Champion an inclusive, values-driven culture that promotes safety, respect, and accountability at all levels.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements, maintaining audit readiness and take proactive steps to mitigate site-level risks.
- Act as the designated site representative for local authorities, regulators, and external stakeholders as required.
- Collaborate closely with regional and global operations teams to align site objectives with broader business priorities.
- Build constructive relationships with support functions including Finance, HR, IT, and Supply Chain, ensuring seamless delivery of operational requirements.
- Represent the site in corporate forums and contribute to operational strategy development.
- Proven ability to deliver operational outcomes through strategic planning, process management, and performance improvement.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification desirable.
- Strong financial acumen with prior experience of managing budgets and P&L accountability.
- Advanced leadership and people development capabilities, with a track record of building effective teams.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Sound analytical and decision-making skills supported by a data-driven approach.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
