As a Client Policy Analyst for Governance at Broadridge, you will join a specialized research team that sits at the intersection of investor and issuer corporate governance practices. This role focuses on proxy voting—including plumbing, research, execution, data, and policy—offering a unique opportunity to develop expertise in the governance landscape.
Key Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Analyze global company filings and proxy statements to assess corporate governance and executive compensation practices.
- Interpret client policy mandates and apply them to upcoming shareholder meetings.
- Contribute to data management and research projects supporting governance analyses.
- Leverage analytical tools and models to identify patterns in proxy voting and governance trends, making quantitative and qualitative assessments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prepare insights and recommendations for clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, public policy, sustainability, or a related field—and/or equivalent experience/industry qualifications.
- 1‑2 years of experience in research, proxy voting, data analysis, or capital‑markets related role (preferred).
- Comfortable working with analytical tools and large data sets.
- Familiarity with corporate governance practices in the Americas and willingness to deepen this knowledge quickly through training.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn quickly.
- Proficient with Excel and experience working with databases.
- Curiosity, sound judgment, and willingness to learn are essential.
