Role Summary
We are expanding our Endpoint Engineering capability to design, operate, and scale the enterprise macOS platform within a Microsoft Azure / Intune–driven ecosystem. This role will take ownership of the macOS platform in the EU region, working as part of a global Apple engineering practice. The position focuses on platform engineering, security, automation, lifecycle management, and comprehensive macOS troubleshooting, with close collaboration across Windows, Security, and Identity teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Apple Platform Engineering (macOS)
- Own and operate the enterprise macOS platform for the EU region
- Design and evolve macOS management using Jamf Pro (cloud)
- Develop and maintain configuration profiles, security baselines, compliance policies, and restrictions
- Package, deploy, and maintain applications using PKG, scripts, and Jamf workflows
- Continuously improve enrollment, patching, and software delivery processes
- Ensure Jamf scoping, automation, and standards remain clean, scalable, and sustainable
- Implement and maintain macOS security controls aligned with corporate requirements
- Manage FileVault, PPPC, system extensions, and OS-level security settings
- Deploy and maintain VPN, DLP, endpoint security agents, and proxy configurations on macOS
- Troubleshoot all types of macOS platform issues, including:
- Network, proxy, and VPN issues
- Permissions, file system, and access errors
- Software deployment and patch failures
- Configuration and profile conflicts
- System or application errors affecting users or compliance
- Operate within a Microsoft-first environment using Azure AD, Intune, and Microsoft 365
- Maintain and monitor the existing Jamf Pro integration with Azure AD and Intune for identity, SSO, and compliance reporting
- Work closely with Windows and Identity teams on shared authentication and compliance workflows
- Ensure macOS devices continue to meet Azure Conditional Access and corporate compliance requirements
- Collaborate with a globally distributed Apple engineering team to align standards, architecture, and best practices
- Contribute to global roadmaps, platform improvements, and technical decision-making
- Act as the primary macOS engineering presence during EU business hours
- Provide advisory input on Apple Business Manager and iOS when required
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of cross-platform issues between macOS and iOS
- Collaborate with the Mobility team on application deployment, compliance, and integration with Jamf Pro
- Help ensure smooth operation of macOS and iOS interactions, including profiles, restrictions, and shared services
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience managing macOS in enterprise environments
- Deep knowledge of Jamf Pro, including automation, scripting, and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of macOS security and privacy controls
- Proven ability to design, operate, and scale Apple management solutions
- Extensive experience troubleshooting macOS platforms across network, system, application, and security layers
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across regions and time zones

- Experience with Azure AD and Microsoft Intune
- Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft 365 environments
- Experience working in regulated or security-focused environments
