Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, demonstrating proficiency with both hand and power tools. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. You will have excellent knowledge of AC/DC systems and a relevant electrical qualification is also required. As you would expect, marine experience is essential but above all we are looking for a meticulous attention to detail, a deep commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively as part of a passionate multi-skilled team. Responsibilities Reading and interpreting electrical drawings. Installing electrical equipment on luxury yachts. Coordinating your workload with other departments, such as engineering and boat building. Carrying out general maintenance on equipment, including PAT testing. The work will be on new build vessels and refit projects in a very well set-out yard. The variety of tasks will keep you interested, and you will be working on some of the most exciting marine projects in the UK. Removal and installation (upgrade) new build super yachts, including lighting, power distribution, electrical panels, fire control systems Performed electrical and AV-IT installation on new build super yachts EG Lutron lighting control systems, Apple TV and Roku Dolby surround sound systems, Support for installations of AC/DC Low and HV 3.3 kV, for the Vessels Rewards & Benefits Competitive rates of pay and overtime opportunities 22 days holiday per year plus bank holidays, with the flexibility to purchase an additional three days, or sell two days if preferred Employer pension contributions Flexible shifts and working patterns Training opportunities and support Company\’s administered contributory sickness and accident insurance scheme Occupational sick pay after six months service Lifeworks employee assistance programme Free on-site parking
