Are you an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer looking for a role where you can put your technical knowledge into practice and work on exciting marine projects? We are working with an established organisation within the marine sector that is looking to strengthen its engineering team with an experienced Electrical / Mechanical Engineer. This is a varied, hands-on position supporting the delivery of vessel projects from build and installation through to testing, commissioning and final handover.
You will play an important part in the delivery of vessel systems, providing technical support both on the build floor and throughout the wider project. Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the installation and integration of electrical and/or mechanical systems onboard vessels
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation
- Carrying out inspections, testing, fault-finding and troubleshooting
- Identifying and resolving technical issues during vessel build
- Working closely with production and engineering teams to deliver practical solutions
- Supporting equipment installation and system integration
- Liaising with suppliers and contractors where required
- Assisting with commissioning and final testing of systems
- Ensuring work is completed in line with technical specifications, quality standards and safety requirements
- Providing practical engineering input throughout the build process

We are interested in speaking with Electrical or Mechanical Engineers, Engineering Technicians and experienced engineering professionals who enjoy a practical, hands-on environment. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Experience within marine, shipbuilding, offshore, defence, manufacturing or another complex engineering environment
- The ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics or engineering documentation
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A practical and proactive approach to engineering
- Good communication and teamwork skills
