We are seeking skilled Deck Fitters (Exterior Boatbuilders) to join our team in Hampshire. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and fitting of exterior components on luxury yachts, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and fit various exterior components, including cleats, handrails, windows, hatches, stanchions, and passerelles.
- Assemble steering systems, keel fittings, skin fittings, deck gear, and teak decks.
- Fit windows, portlights, hatches, and other exterior hardware.
- Work from engineering drawings and technical specifications to ensure accurate installations.
- Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and is completed within project timelines.
- Collaborate with other trades to ensure seamless integration of components.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures on-site.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Deck Fitter and/or Marine Engineer, particularly in the luxury yacht industry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
