We are seeking an experienced Marine Engineer to join a busy and established marine engineering team. Working on a variety of leisure and commercial vessels, you will utilise your expertise to support maintenance, repair, refit and installation projects across a diverse fleet.
This role would suit a skilled marine engineer with strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience working on engines and vessel systems up to 1000hp. Depending on your experience, you will either work alongside senior engineers or take the lead in delivering projects from initial diagnosis through to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out maintenance, servicing and repair work on marine engines and associated systems.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults efficiently and effectively.
- Work on a range of leisure and commercial vessels.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety requirements.
- Build positive working relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Support the delivery of projects within agreed timescales.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Proven experience in marine mechanical engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of marine engines and systems up to 1000hp.
- Current and up-to-date technical knowledge within the marine sector.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Experience with both mechanical and electrical marine systems.
- Previous customer-facing experience.
