Our client is a specialist manufacturer of high-end bespoke joinery products, delivering exceptional craftsmanship to discerning clients across the UK and internationally. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Head of Joinery to oversee and drive the performance of the business across sales, operations and production. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands bespoke joinery inside and out and can balance commercial awareness with operational excellence.
The Role
- Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the joinery division, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards whilst maintaining productivity, profitability and client satisfaction.
- Leading and developing teams across sales, design, project delivery and production.
- Overseeing projects from initial enquiry through to manufacture and completion.
- Driving operational efficiency, productivity and quality standards.
- Supporting and mentoring department managers and team leaders.
- Reviewing processes and implementing improvements where required.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to client expectations.
- Monitoring performance, workflow and resource planning across the business.
- Maintaining exceptional attention to detail throughout all stages of project delivery.
- Working closely with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
About You
- Proven experience in a senior leadership position within a bespoke joinery, architectural joinery, furniture manufacturing or millwork business.
- Strong understanding of joinery manufacturing processes and project delivery.
- Experience managing multiple departments and teams.
- Commercially aware with experience overseeing sales, quotations or client relationships.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Able to drive performance whilst maintaining quality and craftsmanship standards.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional bespoke products.
