Contract: Temp-to-Perm (initial 3-month contract)

The Role: This opportunity is with a well-established marine engineering and boatbuilding business specialising in bespoke vessel build, refit, restoration, and maintenance projects. They are looking for a skilled Marine Electrician to support the installation, fault finding, testing, and commissioning of onboard electrical systems across a variety of high-quality marine projects, working within a hands-on and detail-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation and maintenance of marine electrical systems onboard vessels
  • Fault finding and diagnostics on electrical and control systems
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Installation of cabling, containment, switchboards, lighting, and control panels
  • Testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure safe operation
  • Working on AC/DC systems, batteries, generators, and distribution systems
  • Carrying out repairs, upgrades, and modifications to onboard equipment
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with marine safety and compliance standards
  • Supporting vessel refit, fit-out, and new build projects
  • Conducting inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
  • Collaborating with mechanical, fit-out, and engineering teams during installations
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and completing job reports

Working Hours:

40-hour week Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:30 (30-minute lunch break) Overtime available at 1.5x hourly rate

Benefits (Permanent):

  • 21 days holiday plus all Bank Holidays
