Boatbuilder – Outfitting & Fibreglass
Location: Cornwall
Contract: Temp-to-Perm (initial 3-month contract)
The Role
We are recruiting an experienced Boatbuilder to support the construction and outfitting of fibreglass vessels up to 40ft in size. This is a hands-on role within a busy marine build environment, suited to someone with solid experience in GRP boatbuilding and outfitting who is open to a temp-to-perm opportunity. You’ll be working as part of a skilled production team, contributing to high-quality builds from hull through to fit-out.
Key Responsibilities
- Outfitting of fibreglass boats up to 40ft
- Installation of internal and external components
- Working with GRP / composite structures
- General boatbuilding and finishing tasks
- Reading and working from drawings and specifications
- Ensuring work is completed to quality and safety standards
- Supporting build and production schedules
Experience & Skills Required
- Proven experience as a Boatbuilder, ideally within GRP / fibreglass
- Experience working on small to mid-sized vessels
- Strong hands-on outfitting experience
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Marine or boatyard background preferred
Working Hours
40-hour week Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:30 (30-minute lunch break). Overtime available at 1.5x hourly rate.
