We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody from a specialist subcontractor background who wants to take genuine commercial ownership of complex, high-value projects.
Experience within bespoke joinery, high-end interiors, specialist fit-out, furniture, stone, architectural finishes or other design-led subcontract packages would be particularly relevant.
The Role You'll be responsible for
- Commercial management from pre-contract through delivery and final account
- Preparing valuations and applications for payment
- Identifying, pricing and negotiating variations
- Managing project costs, budgets and commercial performance
- Producing accurate cost reports and forecasts
- Supporting procurement and subcontractor appointments
- Reviewing contracts and commercial documentation
- Monitoring expenditure and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Working closely with Project Managers and delivery teams
- Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers

- Proven Quantity Surveying experience
- Experience working for a specialist subcontractor

- Good Excel, reporting and forecasting skills
- Ability to commercially manage projects with limited supervision Candidates from bespoke joinery, high-end fit-out, luxury residential interiors, furniture and cabinetry, stone, architectural metalwork or specialist finishes would be particularly interesting.
This is less suited to somebody whose experience has been entirely within general housebuilding or a traditional main contractor environment without significant responsibility for specialist subcontract packages.
About You You'll be commercially sharp, organised and confident working on complex bespoke projects where drawings, specifications and client requirements can evolve throughout delivery.
You'll need to quickly understand what has been bought, what has changed, what has been delivered and what needs to be commercially recovered.
You'll be comfortable protecting the commercial position of a project while maintaining strong relationships with clients and delivery teams.
