The Opportunity
Broadreach Recruitment is supporting a leading infrastructure and engineering consultancy in the appointment of a Commercial Lead based in Dublin. This is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for overseeing contractual, financial and risk management activities across complex infrastructure and engineering projects throughout Ireland and the UK.

This role is specifically focused on major infrastructure and government-led projects. We are looking for candidates with commercial experience across large-scale infrastructure environments such as:
- Roads and highways
- Rail
- Tunnelling
- Reservoirs and water infrastructure

You must understand the commercial and contractual complexity associated with:
- Public sector infrastructure delivery
- NEC / FIDIC-style contracts

The successful candidate will provide strategic commercial guidance to project and operational teams while ensuring compliance with Irish and EU business law requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing
Commercial & Contract Management- Supporting preparation of tender and contract documentation
- Leading commercial management, contract reviews and administration
- Advising Project Managers on:
- Variations
- Cost control
- Commercial strategy
- Managing contractual notices, scope and obligations
- Supporting financial reporting and final account preparation
- Leading commercial discussions with clients and stakeholders
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks
- Supporting feasibility reviews for potential projects
- Managing subcontractor and supplier commercial arrangements
- Resolving claims and contractual disputes
- Ensuring compliance with Irish and EU business law requirements
- Providing commercial leadership across multiple projects
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Working closely with senior leadership teams
- Coordinating commercial activity across project portfolios
- Regular travel to UK offices and project locations as required
What We’re Looking For
Essential- Strong commercial management experience within:
- Infrastructure
- Civil engineering
- Major projects environments
- Strong understanding of:
- NEC / FIDIC contracts
- Irish and EU commercial frameworks
- Experience managing:
- Variations
- Claims
- Commercial risk
- Cost control
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Quantity Surveying & Law degree or similar
- RICS, CIOB or equivalent professional qualification
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions
