A well-established, award-winning bespoke joinery manufacturer based in Wiltshire is looking to recruit an experienced Bespoke Joinery CAD Technical Designer to join its team. The business delivers high-end joinery for luxury private residences, country and town houses, barn conversions, and premium commercial projects, producing a wide range of bespoke internal and external joinery.
The Role
Working closely with senior management and the workshop team, you will be responsible for producing accurate technical information that supports projects from initial design through to manufacture. Key responsibilities include:
- Producing detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD
- Creating cutting lists and drawings using JMS
- Managing the drawing approval process, ensuring all revisions are clearly marked and saved
- Liaising with the Director and production team to resolve technical queries
- Producing detailed cutting lists and following designs through to marking out
- Carrying out detailed site visits when required
About You
The successful candidate will have a strong background in bespoke joinery and the technical expertise to support a wide variety of custom projects. You will ideally have:
- A background in bespoke joinery manufacturing
- Proven experience using AutoCAD within a joinery or construction environment
- The confidence to plan and carry out site visits
- Excellent attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
- Clear, professional communication skills with both clients and internal teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
Package & Benefits
- Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Full-time, permanent position
- Training provided where required
- Start date: ASAP
