Based in Norwich, but travel required throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk. Full time, 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday. Starting Salary at £42,672 per annum, with future progression opportunities to £45,272, plus company vehicle and call out opportunities. Permanent Contract.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Planned Heating and Renewables Electrical Engineer to join our team. The role plays a vital role in carrying out wiring and fault finding of Gas and Renewable Heating (including new boiler external controls wiring and installations) effectively and efficiently to a satisfactory standard and in line with regulations. Some of the main duties of the role will include:
- To carry out wiring and fault finding of Gas and Renewable Heating systems (including new boiler external controls wiring and installations, Combi boiler, S & Y plan heating systems).
- To provide emergency cover for other Electrical related repairs and installations works across responsive repairs, empty homes and planned works (including Aids and Adaptations).
- To deal with tenant enquiries, ensuring works are completed to a high standard and in line with regulations to maximise first time fix and reduce call backs and service complaints.
- To be involved in the call out rota in providing out of hours service to our residents on a rotational basis.
About You
The successful candidate will be proactive, motivated and enthusiastic in providing an excellent service and able to use their own initiative on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will be confident in their ability to problem solve with the ability to fault find with an extensive level of knowledge on Gas and Renewable systems including Air Source Heat Pumps. We are looking for someone that is fully qualified and has:
- City and Guilds Electrical Installations NVQ Level 3 2357.
- City and Guilds 5357 including AM2S apprenticeship.
- City and Guilds 2360 - Part 1 and Part 2.
- City and Guilds 2330 Levels 2 and 3.
- City and Guilds 2382 (18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations).
- AM2 depending on qualification period.
- City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection and testing - Desirable.
- Renewable heating qualifications, including ASHP, UHWS, accredited qualifications to BPEC level or equivalent is desirable.
A driving licence is an essential requirement of this role as travel throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk is required. All team members and colleagues working for Broadland will always be expected to act in a manner that is consistent with our corporate values and behaviours.
