Salary: Starting Salary at £45,748 per annum, with future progression opportunities to £48,670, plus Essential Car User Allowance of £4,866 per annum.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Repairs Manager to join our City Centre Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that repairs are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will manage a team of Operatives delivering responsive and empty homes works throughout our properties. You will act as operational lead for providing an excellent repair service, resolving issues quickly and maintain strong visibility across communities, homes and local teams.

Some of the main responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Taking ownership for providing and delivering an efficient and timely repairs service in your area (including empty homes) as well as supporting other teams, including but not limited to customer enquiries / satisfaction, quality assurance, efficient working and swift resolution of issues.
  • To carry out managerial duties and monitor operative performance and efficiency as well as supporting with H&S and Compliance matters i.e. carrying out inspections, risk assessments and toolbox talk.
  • Ability to mentor, coach and motivate employees to deliver excellent solution-focused services and demonstrate the attitude and behaviours expected of a resident focused organisation support high levels of staff engagement and to deliver high levels of tenant satisfaction by contributing to service improvement.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with experience or a good knowledge of the building / construction industry. A HNC or similar qualification is advantageous. This individual will be proactive and have the ability to use their own initiative. The successful candidate will have experience of managing trade operatives with an excellent ability to influence and support line reports and the ability to communicate both verbally and written at all levels. You will be a champion of digital improvement with a strong digital competency. A driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential as travel throughout Norfolk will be required.
