About the Programme: A leading financial services business is undertaking a significant, business-wide risk management transformation programme to enhance its control environment. This programme focuses on designing, implementing, and embedding material controls across the organization to meet key corporate governance and regulatory requirements. We are seeking a diligent Controls Specialist to play a hands-on role in this initiative.

The Role: As a Controls Specialist and a key member of the Material Controls Programme team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation, and embedding of the components and processes required to deliver the material controls. You will act as a specialist in risk, working closely with the Controls Lead and business units to ensure the project's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement new control processes, components, and documentation.
  • Embed new controls across the business, working with various teams to ensure adoption.
  • Act as a risk specialist, providing expertise and support on a day-to-day basis.
  • Conduct control testing and assessments to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the First Line of Defence to develop and enhance controls.
  • Support the wider project team in achieving programme deliverables and timelines.
