We’re working with a leading professional services firm that is looking to appoint a Transfer Pricing Manager to join their growing tax team in either Edinburgh or Aberdeen. The Role
As a Transfer Pricing Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality advisory services across the full transfer pricing lifecycle, from design and implementation through to documentation and dispute support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the end-to-end delivery of transfer pricing engagements, including scoping, planning, execution and billing
- Designing, implementing and reviewing transfer pricing policies for multinational clients
- Leading functional analysis interviews and overseeing preparation of Local Files and Master Files in line with UK legislation and OECD guidelines
- Managing benchmarking studies and economic analyses
- Supporting cross-border financing work, including thin capitalisation and interest benchmarking
- Producing clear, high-quality technical reports and client deliverables
- Acting as a key client contact and maintaining strong, proactive relationships
- Translating complex technical matters into practical, commercially focused advice
Business Development & Practice Growth
You will also play an active role in developing the practice, including:
- Supporting proposals and new business opportunities
- Identifying opportunities within existing client portfolios
- Contributing to the growth and strategic direction of the transfer pricing offering
- Working with senior leadership to enhance service delivery and methodologies
Leadership & Collaboration
This is a true leadership role within the team. You will:
- Mentor, coach and develop junior team members
- Work closely with colleagues across tax, audit and corporate finance
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and technical development
- Help drive continuous improvement in processes and delivery
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Professional qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent)
- Strong experience in transfer pricing advisory (practice or industry)
- Solid understanding of UK transfer pricing legislation and OECD guidelines
- Experience in documentation, functional analysis and benchmarking
- Exposure to intercompany financing and thin capitalisation work
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A commercial mindset with a proactive and collaborative approach
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
