Glasgow (hybrid, with travel to client sites) Full or part time – minimum 4 days per week.

Discover your potential. Build your career. We are a leading full-service people consultancy, supporting clients across the UK with their HR, Health & Safety and Talent Development needs. Our team of 60+ specialists works in true partnership with clients – from ambitious start-ups to established SMEs and large organisations – helping them build better workplaces through the attraction, retention and development of great talent.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with a strong grounding in HR and Employment Law (4+ years' experience) who is ready to move into – or further develop within – a consultancy environment, where the focus is on building genuine client relationships and giving sound, commercial advice. You might currently be in an internal HR role and looking to make the move into consultancy, or you might already work consultancy-side and be looking for a smaller, growing business with real room to grow. Either way, no two days will look the same: you'll work with clients at every stage of their growth journey, balancing proactive support with reactive, fast-paced problem solving.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing commercially focused, pragmatic advice on day-to-day HR and employment issues, with a strong focus on employee relations.
  • Helping clients continuously improve their HR set-ups, recommending and implementing practical solutions and tools.
  • Advising management teams on applying HR policy in practice – recruiting, training and managing their teams.
  • Helping clients build inclusive, values-driven cultures.
  • Mentoring team members and acting as a first point of contact for HR queries.
  • Preparing documentation for onboarding, appraisals, probation, absence management, ER cases, benefits, contracts and offboarding.
  • Reviewing and refreshing client toolkits and template documentation.

What we're looking for:

  • Level 7 Advanced CIPD accreditation (or equivalent), or working towards it – plus substantial experience in a strategic HR role.
  • Minimum 4 years' applied HR and employee relations experience, with strong knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Excellent, jargon-free communication skills and strong questioning skills to really understand client needs.
  • A consultative, commercial and client-focused approach to problem solving.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, discretion and a clear understanding of confidentiality.
  • A forward-thinking, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • HR system implementation experience is an advantage.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car (regular travel to client sites is required).

What's on offer:

  • Generous annual leave (plus public holidays), with the option to buy or carry over leave.
  • Enhanced parental leave (maternity, paternity, adoption).
  • A paid volunteering day.
  • Private Medical Insurance, with the option to cover family members.
  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Death in service benefit.
  • Competitive pension scheme and life assurance.
  • Hybrid and flexible working, with modern, collaborative office space.
