An opportunity has arisen for a motivated Finance Assistant to join a busy team supporting a portfolio of approximately eight hotels within a single owner group. This is a hands-on accounting role where accuracy, curiosity, and a proactive mindset will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings
  • Intercompany cross-charges between owner entities
  • Support with VAT return preparation
  • Assist with audit queries and year-end support
  • Balance sheet preparation and month-end close activities
  • General finance administration and ad hoc accounting tasks
  • Provide day-to-day support across reporting deadlines and finance processes
About You
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and double entry
  • Some experience or exposure to reconciliations and journal entries
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Confident communicator, able to work with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactive approach with strong problem-solving ability
  • Comfortable using Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Studying towards or holding an accounting/finance qualification or degree is beneficial
