An opportunity has arisen for a motivated Finance Assistant to join a busy team supporting a portfolio of approximately eight hotels within a single owner group. This is a hands-on accounting role where accuracy, curiosity, and a proactive mindset will be highly valued.
You’ll be joining a collaborative and friendly finance environment where people are encouraged to ask questions, get involved, and build confidence through practical experience. The team is varied in background and experience, creating a supportive space for development and learning.
Key Responsibilities- Balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings
- Intercompany cross-charges between owner entities
- Support with VAT return preparation
- Assist with audit queries and year-end support
- Balance sheet preparation and month-end close activities
- General finance administration and ad hoc accounting tasks
- Provide day-to-day support across reporting deadlines and finance processes
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and double entry
- Some experience or exposure to reconciliations and journal entries
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Well organised with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Confident communicator, able to work with both internal and external stakeholders
- Proactive approach with strong problem-solving ability
- Comfortable using Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Studying towards or holding an accounting/finance qualification or degree is beneficial
- Exposure to core accounting processes including month-end and audit support
- Experience working within a structured finance environment
- Flexible working hours to support work-life balance
