Compliance Officer – London (Hybrid / Remote)

We're partnered with a fast-growing, global cross-border payments and Banking-as-a-Service platform – moving money across 70+ countries through virtual IBANs, FX, stablecoin settlement, and digital asset infrastructure.

They're now progressing an FCA licence (with strong regulator feedback to date) and building their UK presence.

This is a hands-on, mature compliance seat working alongside the Group Head of Compliance – a genuine step up for someone ready to own day-to-day financial crime and operational compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

What you'll need

  • Familiarity with cross-border payments and regulated environments.
  • UK experience essential; European or Canadian regulatory exposure welcome.
  • Capable of FCA pre-approval and full-time onboarding. (EMI licence acquisition experience not required.)

  • Customer due diligence, EDD reviews, and onboarding support.
  • Transaction monitoring alerts, sanctions screening, and case files for MLRO escalation.
  • Compliance monitoring, controls, and remediation follow-up across business units.
  • Compliance checks on digital asset, stablecoin, and payment products.
  • Cross-functional partnering with Operations, Customer Success, Product, and external banking partners.
