Overview
In this role you will act as client director across private equity and real estate entities, providing strategic board oversight and governance guidance. You will lead a governance team, manage complex client portfolios, and drive high-quality service and relationship retention. You will partner with law firm leaders on pitches and onboarding, and serve as the senior technical authority on UK company secretarial matters. This is an opportunity to assume directorships and shape client delivery in a global, service-driven firm.
Responsibilities
- Act as client director and authorized signatory for assigned entity structures, delivering board oversight, governance guidance, and risk management across private equity and real estate clients
- Lead, mentor, and manage a governance team, overseeing daily operations, workload, and output quality
- Preside over a portfolio of complex client entities to ensure high service standards and long-term relationship retention
- Collaborate with law firm leaders on commercial pitches, client onboarding, and joint strategic initiatives
- Serve as the senior technical authority on UK company secretarial matters, ensuring alignment with corporate law and regulatory standards
Key requirements
- Law degree or Chartered Governance Professional / Chartered Secretary (ACG/FCG)
- Proven track record in corporate secretarial, governance, and client management within a corporate service provider, fund administrator, or professional services firm
- Experience taking on board directorships or holding senior signatory authority while leading and developing a team
