The Commercial team advises clients on a wide range of commercial as well as the full range of data protection compliance matters. The team supports clients across a range of sectors including technology, life sciences, healthcare, hospitality, financial services, and defence and security. Our lawyers advise on all manner of complex, standalone commercial agreements, data protection compliance matters and work. They also work closely with the firm’s Corporate and Private Equity teams advising on the commercial, intellectual property and data protection aspects of corporate transactions.
Broadfield is seeking an experienced Commercial Paralegal to support the Commercial and Corporate teams. The role will primarily involve assisting lawyers on corporate (including private equity) transactions through commercial due diligence and contract review. There will also be the opportunity to assist with standalone commercial contract work. The position offers exposure to a broad range of work and the opportunity to work closely with partners and associates across multiple offices.
Responsibilities
- The role will primarily involve assisting lawyers on corporate (including private equity) transactions through commercial due diligence and contract review.
- A candidate who could also undertake data protection and intellectual property due diligence review would be strongly encouraged to apply.
- In particular, the role would involve:
- reviewing and summarising all types of commercial contracts;
- assisting with the preparation of due diligence reports and transaction summaries, based on the document review carried out;
- reviewing data protection and intellectual property compliance documentation and preparing due diligence reports based on such review.
- supporting lawyers in drafting, reviewing and advising on a broad range of commercial agreements;
- conducting legal and commercial research;
- assisting with general commercial advisory work and client support.
Candidate Requirements

A law degree or equivalent legal qualification is preferred. Previous paralegal experience in commercial contracts, corporate transactions, private equity work or data protection would be advantageous but is not essential. The role provides exposure to a wide range of commercial and transactional matters and offers strong development opportunities within the firm. Paralegals will work closely with partners and associates across the Commercial and Corporate teams and will gain valuable experience supporting private equity and corporate transactions.
