About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing, highly dynamic specialty insurance business expanding across key commercial programs. To ensure partners, clients, and industry stakeholders experience a seamless and polished brand, they are establishing a dedicated Marketing and Events function to drive clear communication, content consistency, and high-impact event logistics.

Operating in an agile scale-up environment, they champion absolute ownership, precision, and collaborative execution. They avoid rigid corporate silos and administrative clutter in favour of lean, well-organised operating models. Our client is anti-bureaucracy but pro-structure - ensuring every publication, campaign, and corporate event operates with clear approvals, meticulous tracking, and pristine brand alignment. If you are an organised, proactive professional who thrives on structured workflows and end-to-end coordination, you will find a massive opportunity here.

About the Role

Reporting directly into executive leadership (Chief of Staff / CEO / CCO), this is a brand-new, hands-on coordination role created to run the day-to-day engine of the company’s marketing content and corporate events. You will act as the operational backbone ensuring that colleagues, commercial partners, and clients experience a consistent, well-organised brand footprint.

This is an operational building and administration role, and we need someone who can deliver at pace and back themselves to create interesting, high quality content. You will own the Marketing Calendar and Events Budgeting Toolkit, draft first-pass copy in the official brand voice, coordinate end-to-end event logistics, and maintain pristine governance records and live approval tracking across Microsoft 365 platforms. Working closely with executive leaders, partner managers, and external suppliers, your primary mission is to keep marketing and event operations running smoothly, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing Calendar Upkeep: Maintain and continuously update the central Marketing Calendar, ensuring every post, campaign, and content idea is logged with a clear date, owner, status, and category without gaps.
  • Content Drafting & Asset Coordination: Log new content ideas from internal stakeholders and partners, prepare first-draft copy for routine posts in the company’s brand voice, organise final assets in structured cloud drives, and link files back to tracking dashboards for executive review.
  • Events Administration & Logistics: Populate the Events Budgeting Toolkit with objectives, target audiences, cost estimates, and key deadlines; assist Event Owners with venue bookings, guest list tracking, supplier coordination, and Microsoft Planner task execution.
  • Records, Approvals & Reporting: Maintain structured approval records, live publication links, performance metrics, and post-event reviews; compile monthly commercial forum one-page summary reports.
  • Brand & Process Governance: Enforce brand voice guidance across routine content, follow strict RACI approval processes prior to publication, and proactively escalate urgent or high-risk items to executive management.

Confident command of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Planner, SharePoint / OneDrive); familiarity with content scheduling trackers, social media tools, or design platforms (e.g., Canva) is desirable. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple trackers, folders, and event deadlines simultaneously without losing track of approval workflows. Strong written copy skills in plain English with the ability to adopt and maintain a specific corporate brand voice across routine communications. Entrepreneurial and precise, identifying gaps in calendars or toolkits early, fixing outdated tracker entries, and politely prompting stakeholders to maintain record integrity.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative, coordination, marketing, or events support role (including placements, internships, or professional services settings).
  • Previous exposure to supporting marketing content, PR, or corporate events within financial services, insurance, or professional services environments.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths required; coursework or formal qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Business, or Event Management are desirable.

Location: Hybrid (Bristol-based preferred, min. 2 days per week in office)
