Role Purpose
As a Claims Handler, you will be the face of our firm during the moments that matter most to our customers. You will manage insurance claims from initial notification through to settlement, ensuring every case is handled efficiently, accurately, and with genuine empathy. This role requires excellent people skills, organisation, and a drive to learn. Your goal is to deliver high-quality outcomes for customers and clients while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively receive and register new claims via telephone, email, and our ENOL (Electronic Notice of Loss) systems.
- Verify documentation, assess policy coverage, and determine the validity of each claim.
- Make informed decisions on claim settlements and communicate outcomes clearly to all parties.
- Maintain meticulous audit trails and accurate records within our claims management system.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for policyholders and business partners, providing clear guidance on the claims process.
- Foster strong professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure smooth operational delivery.
- Identify and investigate potentially fraudulent claims, escalating where necessary.
- Work closely with external partners, including legal firms and loss adjusters, to resolve complex cases.
- Ensure all activity aligns with internal policies, FCA guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Identify and handle complaints in line with company procedures and contribute ideas for process improvement.
