Our client specialises in data-centric risk intelligence and is building something that will revolutionise the construction insurance space. We need an underwriter who thrives in an environment where underwriting expertise meets operational agility, and where their intelligence and expertise will be properly put to use.
Reporting directly to our Underwriting Lead, you will oversee the evaluation and onboarding of specialty insurance programs. We want an innovative mindset that can help refine our risk appetite and support our commercial expansion.
You will utilise the latest technology to work efficiently and make smarter, data-driven decisions across our portfolio:
- Sourcing, evaluating, and onboarding new insurance opportunities with a focus on technical excellence.
- Conduct thorough qualitative and quantitative analysis of program profitability and risks.
- Assist in maintaining and refining underwriting manuals and appetite statements.
- Familiarity with building and retaining broker relationships.
- A data-driven approach with high attention to detail regarding pricing and compliance.
- Understanding why insurance organisations care about loss ratios and translating that into smart underwriting.
- A track record of testing, learning, and pivoting to help an organisation explore new markets.
