About the Company
We are a rapidly growing InsurTech MGA looking to 3x our team size this year to keep up with growing demand. We move fast and value integrity and intelligence in all of our team members. Our senior team of ~5 people needs someone who will be responsible, proactive, and mature in their response to problem solving and process improvements across our business model.
As our Chief of Staff, you will be the strategic glue that holds our rapidly scaling operation together. We are looking for a high-energy, proactive individual to report directly to the Head of Operations and act as a force multiplier for our leadership team. We are moving from start-up flexibility to scale-up discipline, and as we grow, it’s easy for teams to become siloed. Your mission is to break those barriers - ensuring alignment, driving delivery, and keeping our strategic projects on track. This is a role for someone who stays ahead of the game, spotting what’s been missed before it becomes a problem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Head of Operations to translate high-level strategy into practical, cross-departmental execution.
- Keep people on track with project deadlines, forum attendance, and meeting outcomes to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
- Act as the central point for internal communications, ensuring all teams are aligned and silos are broken down.
- Stay two steps ahead by identifying gaps in processes or delivery and providing immediate, smart solutions.
- Bridge the gap between junior administrative profiles and senior strategy, ensuring daily tasks drive bigger goals.
- Take full ownership of special projects and 'Founders’ Associate' style initiatives to accelerate business growth.
- Monitor delivery across the business and provide sharp counsel on where the organization can improve.
- The confidence to challenge people constructively and the maturity to handle senior-level discussions.
- Ability to see the 'big picture' while managing the fine details that keep a business running.
- A 'pick it up and run with it' mindset—you don't wait for instructions when you see a gap.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable with operational data.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in an Operations Analyst, Founders' Associate, or high-level Project Management role.
- Excellent people and data skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-evolving scale-up environment where processes are maturing.
- A desire and potential to progress into a Senior Leadership position within the business within two years.
Other details:
- Reporting to: Head of Operations
- Hybrid – Minimum 2 days per week in either Bristol or London (with a strong preference for candidates commutable to Bristol).
- Clear pathway to a Senior Leadership role within 24 months.
- Private medical insurance and other benefits.
- Salary of £65-80K+ depending on experience.
