We are a fast-growing new brokerage firm setting up a new office and looking for an exceptional individual to bring into the team. We’re looking for someone with strong client-facing experience, comfortable on site visits, and with a strong market reputation to set up as our Lead Broker. If you’re keen on building your own reputation, moving away from rigid corporate structures, and making a genuine difference to your clients, then we’d love to chat.

Join our Property and Specialty team and play a key role in structuring and placing bespoke insurance solutions for complex regional transactions. We’re looking for someone who has an existing book but is open to taking (and quickly dealing with) inbound submissions from a warm lead funnel that is prepared for them.

We are looking for an experienced Retail Insurance Broker to join us as a founding team member. This is a dynamic, remote role that blends technical broking expertise with fast-paced relationship management.

You will be the vital link between a range of inbound lead sources and our market facilities, both wholesale and insurance. When our surveyors identify during site visits, you will handle these referrals immediately, building comprehensive submissions and routing them through key placement partners to solve the client’s problem ASAP.

This role is perfect for a broker who wants to step away from the rigid corporate grind, manage their own business pipeline, and actively participate in the financial upside of building a company from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the pipeline of incoming referrals, acting instantly to assess and convert them.
  • Utilise your deep broking experience to craft professional, accurate risk submissions that tell the right story to underwriters or wholesale broking teams.
  • Efficiently navigate and place business through a range of platforms/facilities.
  • Bridge the gap between technical site realities and client expectations. You will travel across Northern England for direct site access and face-to-face client meetings.
  • Manage your own book of business, ensuring clients are moved through the connection and onboarding process smoothly and efficiently.
What We Are Looking For
  • A commercially-minded broker who has the technical know-how to structure a deal and the conversational charm to win over a client whilst on site visits.
  • A solid background as a Retail or Wholesale Insurance Broker with proven experience in creating robust risk submissions.
  • The ability to look at a complex site scenario referral and move quickly to find a placement solution.
  • Confidence to talk shop with surveyors and site managers, and just as easily present sophisticated solutions to high-level clients.
  • Experience with placement platforms/facilities, using a range of solutions to resolve problems fast.
  • Based in Northern England with a valid UK driving license, ready to head out to sites when required.

We are looking for a true partner to help build this firm. For the right person, this role comes with a tailored equity package, allowing you to earn a meaningful stake in the business as we scale. If you are an ambitious broker who wants more autonomy, a direct line to warm leads, and real equity in your next venture, we want to hear from you.
