As they continue to scale their change portfolio and expand their operational capabilities, they are looking for a proactive, collaborative Business Analyst to join their team.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Head of Change, this is a hands-on, high-impact role designed for a Business Analyst who excels at turning complex business needs into structured requirements and streamlined workflows. You will work directly across partnerships, underwriting, operations, claims, policy administration, and compliance to map current processes, define target solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
Operating within an iterative environment, you will play a central role in driving Agile ways of working-helping translate strategic vision into actionable user stories, clear acceptance criteria, and well-maintained project backlogs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support workshops and interviews to capture, refine, and document clear business and technical requirements.
- Map current-state and future-state workflows, identifying operational bottlenecks and suggesting system and process enhancements.
- Create user stories with robust acceptance criteria, support backlog maintenance, and participate in (or lead) Agile ceremonies across iterative project deliverables.
- Assist project leaders with tracking and reporting, while coordinating UAT preparation, defect logging, and business readiness activities.
- Ensure all documentation, process flows, and system requirements strictly align with regulatory standards (such as FCA, Consumer Duty, and GDPR).
- Gather and validate operational data to produce clear management information (MI), analytics, and reporting dashboards.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong capability in requirements elicitation, process mapping, and workflow documentation.
- Clear understanding of Agile principles, user story writing, and iterative delivery practices, with absolute comfort using tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Good knowledge of insurance operations (underwriting, claims, policy admin) and relevant compliance frameworks (FCA, GDPR, Consumer Duty) is highly desirable.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex operational needs to both technical and non-technical teams.
- High attention to detail with a structured, pragmatic approach to solving operational problems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a closely aligned change/analytical role (insurance or financial services background highly preferred).
- Practical exposure to Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall project delivery frameworks.
- Relevant professional certifications (such as BCS or IIBA) are desirable but not essential.
Role Details
- Full-time position (35 hours per week, Monday–Friday).
- Flexible hybrid working model (combining remote work with regular days in the Bristol office).
- Strong pathway for professional growth, skill building, and career development within a scaling change function
