Building on a world-class reputation and recent international success in London and Los Angeles, we have established an international office in London to develop and execute world-class experiences in sports and entertainment outside of the Middle East. We are looking to build a global portfolio of sports and entertainment projects, delivering commercial, operational, and creative consultancy and services. The ambition is to execute a growth strategy that will see us establish ourselves as a market leader in the sector.
Role Overview
The Head of Business Development (Sport) will be responsible for leading the commercial growth strategy across our international sport portfolio. This is a senior, outward-facing role focused on identifying new opportunities, developing high-value partnerships, and driving long-term revenue for the business. You’ll combine strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of the sports industry, forging relationships with brands, rights holders, and governing bodies, and shaping innovative partnership models that deliver mutual value. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen, analytical expertise, and deal execution capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of our business development strategy within the sports division.
- Build and nurture relationships with major brands, federations, clubs, and agencies.
- Identify, assess, and pursue new commercial opportunities - including sponsorship, licensing, and strategic partnerships.
- Develop market insights and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
- Set annual revenue targets and manage the business development pipeline across key markets.
- Lead negotiations and close complex partnership and sponsorship agreements.
- Collaborate with the Heads of BD (central and Entertainment), Sponsorships, Strategy, Marketing, Events, Legal, Finance, and Talent to ensure successful delivery and integration of new partnerships.
- Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and Managing Director (Sport) to align commercial strategy with broader business objectives.
- Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and client meetings globally.
- Mentor and support junior members of the commercial and partnerships team.
Experience & Skills
- Proven track record (8+ years) in sports commercial development, sponsorship sales, or strategic partnerships, ideally within an agency, rights holder, or brand.
- Strong network across the sports and entertainment landscape.
- Exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and a results-driven approach. Must be self-motivated and comfortable working in a start-up environment.
- Experience working across international markets and managing complex, high-value deals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.
