About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and technically skilled Media Manager to support our fast-paced Media and Broadcast team. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our content workflow — ensuring archive, match footage, promos and digital assets are securely ingested, tagged and archived and supporting delivery of clips and larger volumes of archive to in-house teams and third parties.
Responsibilities
- Media Ingest & Asset Management
- Ingest, catalogue, and manage live event footage, studio recordings, promos, highlights, and archive material.
- Maintain structured and searchable media libraries across shared storage and MAM systems.
- Apply consistent metadata standards to ensure efficient retrieval for production and post-production teams.
- Ensure files are stored correctly and easy for the production team to access.
- Broadcast & Live Event Support
- Support live event workflows including file transfers from OB units, satellite feeds, and remote production environments.
- Coordinate media selection and transfers between production, edit, graphics, and digital teams under tight deadlines.
- Assist with delivery of content to global broadcast partners and digital platforms.
- Technical Operations
- Monitor and maintain media storage systems, shared servers, and backup procedures.
- Troubleshoot file format, codec, and compatibility issues across platforms.
- Ensure correct version control and file naming conventions are adhered to.
- Content Delivery
- Prepare clips of compilations to an editorial brief from internal/external stakeholders.
- Manage delivery of files to broadcasters, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Manage transcoding workflows to meet various platform specifications.
- Ensure timely turnaround of highlights and social-first content following live events.
- Archive & Security Management
- Maintain the integrity, organisation, and security of Matchroom’s media archive.
- Implement and enforce appropriate access controls and backup protocols.
- Support long-term archive strategy and asset preservation.
- Stay up to date with emerging broadcast technology, cloud workflows, and media asset management solutions.
Qualifications
- Experience in media management, broadcast operations, or post-production workflows.
- Strong understanding of media file formats, codecs, frame rates, and delivery specifications.
- Experience with MAM systems and workflows of shared storage systems.
- Familiarity with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid, or similar.
- Understanding of working to editorial briefs to select archive or clips best suited to support requests.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced live event environments, including evenings and weekends.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to troubleshoot technical challenges calmly under pressure.
- Passion for live sport and premium content production.
